How to Configure the IR1100-4G-S router.

1. Sim Card Configuration:


By using the below configuration we can install the different sim cards. And for all ISP
Service Code & Connection mode will be same only APN will be change.

Go to Network=>Modem => Select the ISP wise data.

   

  • JIO :
    APN: jionet
    Service code: *99#
     Connection mode: pppd        

       

  • (Note: APN and service codes are available on internet as well.)



2. Status check:


    After configuration of sim card we can check the status.
    Go to Status => Modem


    If internet is available the as status we can see below details 

 


 If internet is not available the as status we can see below details 



Note: If internet requires only through sim card (modem) then now go to step 7



3. WAN configuration:


For WAN configuration we can use the work type will be wan and connection types have
three sub types are as below.

Go to Network => WAN/LAN =>Select the work mode & Connection Type.

 

Select Connection type as required


  •         Static IP: For fix IP

            

  •         dhcp: For dynamic IP          

     


Note: If internet requires only through WAN (other internet source) then go to step 7



If both modem and WAN are require and one of them for back up then follow below procedure



4. Auto fail-over Configuration:      

In this we can use the wan link as primary and sim card as secondary or sim card as primary and wan link as secondary 


        A. Setting  WAN link as primary and sim card as secondary

  Go to NETWORK =>Link Backup =>Enable  

                

               Do settings as shown below for setting WAN (eth0) as primary.

             Here rule name is configured as 0, Running mode is main and backup mode is hot



Do settings as shown below for setting Modem as secondary

Here rule name is configured as 1, Running mode is backup and backup mode is cold.




  B. Setting Modem(sim card network) link as primary and WAN(eth0) as secondary

    

In previous steps while setting Rule name as 0 and running mode as Main, select Interface Name as Modem 


And then while setting Rule name as 1 and running mode as backup, for that set Interface Name as eth0



5. Setting default network


Go to Network => Network Type

Set default route as eth0.



In case of Modem(sim card network) link as primary and WAN(eth0) as secondary, set default route as modem





6. Forward routing setting


Go to Forward => Routing  =>Click on Add


Select Policy Route and do setting as sown below and do other configuration as below:



In case of Modem(sim card network) link as primary and WAN(eth0) as secondary,

wherever modem is selected, replace it by eth0.



 7. Setting the router as DHCP server


Go to Network => DHCP server  =>Enable  


Do settings as shown below:


The device connected to this router will get IP address between 192.168.8.2 and 192.168.8.254.
